Nicoderm CQ is an over the counter medication used to prevent withdrawal symptoms when trying to stop smoking cigarettes. Nicoderm CQ belongs to a group of drugs called smoking cessation aids. These help by providing nicotine to your body to decrease the withdrawal symptoms experienced when smoking is stopped.

This medication comes in a patch and the dosing is based on the number of cigarettes you smoke daily. The strength of the patch is changed every six weeks.
