It's not just about letting your facial hair grow wild — "Movember" is about men's health, and that includes prostate and testicular cancers.
Among American men, prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related death, according to the American Cancer Society. But most men diagnosed with prostate cancer do not die from it. In fact, more than 2.9 million men in the US who were diagnosed with prostate cancer are still alive today.
Testicular cancer is less common than prostate cancer, but it can be extremely fast-growing, so recognizing the warning signs and getting treatment early is paramount.
