A Vanderbilt University Medical School graduate, Dr. Sarah Samaan is a board certified cardiologist who considers heart disease prevention the cornerstone of her medical practice. While she is skilled in caring for patients with heart attacks, heart failure, and other devastating consequences of cardiovascular disease, she works passionately to educate her patients on the message that heart disease prevention should be a life-long pursuit.
Dr. Samaan’s book, Best Practices for a Healthy Heart: How to Stop Heart Disease Before or After it Starts, was published by The Experiment in June 2012 and is distributed by Workman. The book provides a holistic, medically sound guide to health and vitality, and was written to help empower men and women to make smart choices about diet, exercise, and lifestyle.
Dr. Samaan is a Physician Partner at The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Dr. Samaan practices cardiology at Legacy Heart Center in Plano, Texas, and has been in practice since 1995. Her areas of expertise include echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
