Vaccine Myths - Busted!
Many parents have questions about childhood vaccines. However, research shows that vaccines are safe and effective. In fact, a recent study found them to offer more benefit than risks. Severe side effects from vaccines are very rare (less than 1 percent), and it’s a much greater health risk not to get immunized. Some children may have mild side effects such as soreness and/or a slight fever. However, this usually only lasts a few hours. Diseases, on the other hand, can be far more dangerous and painful. In addition, vaccines are continuously being studied for efficacy and safety.
