Vaccine Myths - Busted!
There has been a lot of talk about vaccines potentially causing autism. One ingredient that has been studied specifically is thimerosal. Thimerosal is a preservative that has historically been included in many vaccines. In 2001, thimerosal was removed or reduced to trace amounts in all childhood vaccines except for one type of flu vaccine. Studies continue to provide evidence that there is no link between vaccination and autism. In fact, autism rates have not decreased since the switch to thimerosal-free vaccines.
