Tetrahydrozoline is a prescription medication used to treat a stuffy nose. Tetrahydrozoline belongs to a group of drugs called decongestants, which help to reduce the amount of fluid build-up in the nasal passages.

This medication comes in nasal drop form and is typically used in each nostril every 3 hours as needed.

Common side effects of tetrahydrozoline include burning, stinging, sneezing, or dryness of the nasal passage. Tetrahydrozoline can also cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how tetrahydrozoline affects you.

Common side effects of tetrahydrozoline include burning, stinging, sneezing, or dryness of the nasal passage. Tetrahydrozoline can also cause dizziness and rebound congestion (long-term swelling of the nasal mucosa resulting in chronic redness, swelling, and inflammation).
